Zack takes time out of his busy schedule of voice overs to answer some questions about his career and influences;
ActorsLife: Tell us about your career. When did it start? How did you discover your talent?
Zack: My career started when I went to PQA Hemel Hempstead in 2014. I fell in love with the world of performance and managed to harness my talent for singing and acting, as well as voice acting. I now go to college, studying performing Arts and work as a freelance voice actor with an extensive portfolio of work.
ActorsLIFE: What do you enjoy most about Acting, tell us about some of your experiences?
Zack: The feeling of fulfilment and the sense I can be myself and more. Working alongside many wonderful and talented people, cast and crew, as well as the feeling each time I act, my career grows.
ActorsLIFE: What about the future, what personal goals have you set and how will you go about achieving them?
Zack: To become successful in singing, acting and voice acting and to be remembered. My personal key to success? Never giving up on myself and becoming stronger as a person.
ActorsLIFE: Who are the actors you most admire?
Zack: Maisie Williams, Laverne Cox, Rosie O’Donnel, Eddie Izzard, Steve Blum and Frank Welker
ActorsLIFE: What are the best ways to get a job?
Zack: To try your hardest, to know what you’re getting into and to show your true colours.
ActorsLIFE: What do you think are the main challenges facing actors today?
Zack: Self doubt doesn’t help any actor, especially those who are starting out. Getting an agent is also a massive issue for whoever is starting out as well.
ActorsLIFE: What advice would you give to someone who is aspiring to become an actor?
Zack: Keep trying… if you fall down, work your way up again and never let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do!If you fall down, work your way up again and never let anyone tell you what you can and can't do! Click To Tweet
ActorsLIFE: How is the job market now in the industry? How do you think it will be in five years?
Zack: Hopefully, castings will range to a wider range of people, such as trans people, gender fluid, more ethnic groups etc. Ideally, castings will become more diverse.
ActorsLIFE: Do you need an agent? How do you get one?
Zack: I need an agent and every agency I turn to requires a CV and a headshot… a spotlight profile and or a demo reel is also required, depending on the agency you go to.
ActorsLIFE: Are there any upcoming projects and/or events that you would like to mention?
Zack: Pokemon Sun and Moon Abridged (by DeWarioFreak) on YouTube is a series I am in where I play Mimikyu and now Rowlet and there are more episodes to come! I also keep a portfolio on my website about all of the projects I am or will be apart of.
